Zashi's laptop issues

I feel like I should explain for those of you who didn't know...

My laptop has been having issues lately. Tuesday it shorted out the AC cord connector thing and it started smoking and melting the cord. Then for some odd reason, a key popped off and I can't seem to get it back on. That was alot of fun. -_-

So I am without a computer. I am waiting for a certain part to be found, ordered, and replaced in my laptop. However, right now they are having a hard time finding the part I need. I may end up having to buy a whole new laptop. This may take up to 4 weeks, unfortunatly.

I'm telling you this because I may not be online as much as I usually am. It's rare that my dad isn't using his computer. However, during the week I get some time while he's at work.

umm sounds like u need a battery connector(nothin technical about that) but to find 1 for ur certain comp and its year maybe a problem if its older then 2 yrs thats when u get technical with the battery connector such as mine is a SP3Cx4yv(which basically means it has a 3 mm connector and a diameter of 4 mm) the SPCxv is the comp version and year S was for the year 2007...PC is a computer brand and xy is x=custom connection and v=volts needed for operation
im a person who built a computer so u learn a few things befor u buy the parts, such as u need a 120v adapter but u only bought a 60v, then ur comp will not start. but i doubt this would help u at all since u probably dont understand "geek" talk lol
i could get mor specific about my connector which means u can understand which comps itll work with but i dont entirely understand everything XD
if they cant fix it listen to this:
if ur comps older then 2 yrs and since all companies switched to nano tec then its probably best to buy a new 1(or test ur harddrive(s) and mother board and c if they work perfectly, then build a new 1(cause u would hav 500$ or more worth a parts already in possession that r usable)
but most buisnesses will go as far as making it(the part) theirselves to keep a customer

I understood most of it lol. I'm letting my bro handle it, since he fixes computers like this for a living. He's an expert. But thanks for the help. My laptop is 2 years old (almost exactly 2 years). My bro may tell me to go ahead and buy a new one. We'll see.

well now i kno who to send my comp to if i cant fix it(but i hav no idea wat there is to ruin)
my comps to much of a custom for any1 to fix but its creator
IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON IT!!!!!(i just connect my old hard drive and access the internet, anything i put in it is on that hard drive)

My laptop is now in the hands of my brother. Good news is they were able to order the part I needed, and my bro's friend said he would do the labor for me for free! XD I need it fixed by Friday this week, so I will hopefully have my laptop back and working by then. Woo! Can't wait, I miss it soo.

Yaaa this is now obsolite... My laptop is fixed and everything is fine except that I am running the wrong amount of ram for windows vista and its still slow as hell and my battery still only lasts 2 min... but other than that its all good.
